Bienvenidas to The LLJ Blog!

Hello Amigas,

We are so excited to open up this new space to share with you! Let me tell you a little about how we made this decision and why we are excited about it.

Latinas Loving Jesus was born during the pandemic. All that was available for women's ministry connection then was Zoom, Clubhouse, and IG Live. We grew and thrived and were introduced to so many of you during that time. It was fun and fruitful. As leaders, seemingly stuck at home, the opportunity to connect via video felt important and life-giving for us and you all were gracious enough to follow along, participate, and encourage us every week. We loved that time.

As life has gone back to busy with work, family, and ministry, a weekly IG Live went from fun to just not sustainable. But rather than just say LLJ served a purpose for a time, we have taken time to dream together about what we believe LLJ can be if we set it free to change and serve in new ways. Opening this blog is just one of the ways we've been inspired to start.

Lydia, Ivette, and I receive questions from women pretty regularly about so many aspects of living for Jesus and just living in general. A few months ago in one conversation catching up with each other, we talked through conversations we'd had with women where we'd shared about how to build a bible reading plan, navigating changing friendships, and how to approach finances with faith and discipline. It hit us then that we had an opportunity to provide wisdom and resources as support and encouragement for living lives for Jesus. Not just the deep and spiritual (there will be plenty of that) but the practical, the helpful, the simple but still holy.

Before we all met, we were ministry leaders, preachers, Latinas who loved Jesus and who loved to write. It is where our Instagram influences began and we are all excited to return to our first love in a way. We have tons of ideas for blog posts and plans to feature other amigas' work too!

Our plan is to release two posts per week all Summer long and for those posts to serve as encouraging supplements to the intentional lives you're already living for Jesus. So go pour yourself a cafe and enjoy this new room in our internet casita, the LLJ Blog.
